Can any of the NHL rules overlook any country’s actual laws?

Well first and foremost, your contract as a player stands no matter where it is you are. For example, If an 18 year old American player goes over sea's for a game and there is no drinking age, he could drink by that countries law, but I would imagine not by his NHL guidelines. Same idea, Cannabis is legal in most of Europe, but if I came back from Vacation and Failed a test, nobody would care what I did in Holland, they would only care aboot my illegal Pee in the US.
