Confusion about Crochet Hook Size?

I have a 5.00 mm Crochet Hook, I think its made out of aluminum. What size of yarn do I need? I bought this yarn that's pretty thin.. and it seems to be too thin for my hook. What is the exact thickness of yarn I should use?
