How to convince b player?

Me and my friends have a band. We have an amazing b player, but he wants our band to be like Simple Plan, These Kids Wear Crowns, ect. The problem is that the rest of us listen to Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the only recent bands we really like are The Foo Fighters and stuff like that. How do we convince our b player without insulting him?
