There is this girl I like...?

There is this girl I like in my school. Her name is Jess and I share like, three hours with her. I can never get my mind off her. I have tried to move on but nothing is working. I don't really want to date but I just want to get to know her because everyone seems to talk to her but me. I have tried to spark some conversations but they always die really quickly. Does she not like me for some reason? She used to keep staring at me and I kind of got nervous because she is so beautiful. Lately she has not even been looking at me or anything. What do I do? How do I become friends?
