Wormhole Technology?

uming that it is possible to create an environment in which a wormhole could develop, is there any evidence to suggest that there is a direct relationship between "wormhole" propagation on the macroscopic scale, torsion theory, and the geometric construction of the equiptment necessary to propagate the wormhole being directly linked to the platonic solids? A pretty big question I know, but if there is anyone out there with knowledge that could help me I would be happy to go into further detail... If any of you have seen the film "Contact" then I am lookng along the lines of what shape the machine would have to take to generate the effect. There seems to be a strong slant towards a dodecahedral layout?
